Where does CUGI meet?

When CUGI meets, it does so in the Maths/Computer Science department of St. Andrew's College, Booterstown, usually on the third Sunday of the month, at 3PM.

However, due to the current situation of the Amiga and CUGI itself, the November 1996 meeting is likely to be the last for the forseeable future. It was not a normal meeting, but rather an auction at which the vast majority of CUGI's assets were disposed of. For more details see our important announcement.

Getting to Booterstown

By Train/DART:
Take the DART to Booterstown station. On leaving the station, follow the road to the traffic lights. Walk straight ahead, through the crossroads on to Booterstown Avenue. Stay on the right hand side of the road, and soon after The Nook (a shop), St. Andrew's will be on your right.

By Bus (Rock Road):
Coming from Dublin:
Get off the bus (5, 7, 7A, 8, 45) at the stop after Booterstown marsh (which is beside the railway station.), opposite Willow Park school. Walk back towards the crossroads and head up Booterstown Avenue on the right hand side of the road - the entrance to the school is soon after The Nook (a shop) on the right; it's a rather long driveway when walking up it so you should know when you're in the right place.

Coming from Blackrock:
Get off the bus at the Punchbowl pub, just after the junction with Booterstown Avenue, and head up the right hand side of the avenue.

By Bus (Stillorgan Road):
Get off the bus (46, 46A, 63, 84) at the stop just after Booterstown Avenue. Walk down Booterstown Avenue on the left side. The entrance to St Andrew's is on the left after the convent.

By Car:
There are usually plenty of free parking spaces. Feel free to park in any available space. The closer to the sports hall, the shorter your walk will be. On the rare occasions that a CUGI meeting clashes with a school function, you will be directed to a space by one of the groundsmen. Please inform him that you are there for a CUGI meeting, so your car doesn't get locked into the hockey pitch!

When you get to the entrance of St. Andrew's, follow the driveway as it heads towards the tennis courts. Follow the bend to the left. Keep going until the turn-off to your right, running downhill under the shadow of the sports hall. Follow this path until it ends at the door into the school. If this door isn't open, you're probably late, and will have to wait until someone comes to open it! Once inside, go past the row of lockers and take a right turn immediately. The computer room (No. 54) is at the end of this corridor.
